Inviting Participants to your Fundit! Organization
Fundraising is much easier as a team effort. Learn how to invite your team and ensure their success with these 4 simple steps.
1. Gather a list of emails for all your team members
The easiest way to invite participants is via email. Simply collect the email addresses for team members, parents, volunteers, coaches, and anyone else who will be participating in the fundraiser, and then you’re ready to proceed to Step 2 below.
2. Invite each team member
Now that you have a list of email addresses, it’s time to send the participant invites. Enter this list of email addresses in your campaign management area to send notifications to each of the participants.
When you are in your fundraising dashboard, go to the “Participants” tab, where you will find a button to “Invite Participant.” Click on the button to move to the next screen, where you will enter the person’s email address.
Enter the participant email addresses one at a time and select a role for each person you add to the fundraising team. You can click the blue plus sign to add multiple participants at once. Come back to this page any time you want to add new participants to your fundraising team.3. Set a donation goal for your team
This can be manually defined (e.g. $900 each) or dynamically determined based on the total goal divided by the total number of team members.This fundraising goal gives participants a number to shoot for as they ask friends and family for donations. Each participant can see their totals through their personal fundraising page. In addition, fundraising campaign administrators can see the team totals in real-time.
4. Have your team spread the word
The best way to ensure a successful fundraiser is when all team members are proactive about sharing their fundraising pages through email, social media, and word of mouth. Fundit! makes it easy to spread the word using built-in integrations for social sharing.
Each person has social sharing buttons to post the fundraising information on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Additionally, participants can copy-and-paste a customized profile page link to share through text message or other online communication with friends and family.
